Announcement

HONG KONG AND DUBLIN, 30 October 2026 — ImageDeep today announced the launch of Houndlight, a solar-powered 4G AI safety alarm camera designed for remote and unpowered sites. Powered by the Scopis AI platform, Houndlight delivers intelligent detection, instant alerts and live viewing without the need for mains power or fixed broadband.

Houndlight puts a solar panel, battery backup, a 4G modem and an AI-capable camera into a single IP66-rated unit that can be mounted on a pole, wall or tripod and armed the same day. Sites that previously needed a generator, a cable trench, a broadband line or a manned guarding contract can now be covered with one device and a phone.

Every unit reports into the Scopis AI platform, the same command-and-control layer ImageDeep uses for cameras, robots and autonomous vehicle fleets. Operators can watch live and recorded video, receive alarms in the app, and choose whether each actionable event is verified by a human before it is escalated to a guard, a patrol or the emergency services.

Key features

  • Solar-powered with battery backup

Runs on its own panel and battery, so it works where there is no mains electricity. No generator, no trenching, no cabling.

  • Built-in 4G connectivity

Alerts and live video travel over the cellular network. No Wi-Fi and no fixed broadband required on site.

  • AI-powered detection and safety alarms

Detection, alarm rules and event review run on the Scopis AI platform, with optional human verification of every actionable alert.

  • Multi-unit zone control

Arm, disarm and group any number of Houndlights by zone from a single interface: one gate, one compound, one site or many.

  • Temporary or permanent deployment

Built for construction, agriculture, energy, mining, logistics and infrastructure sites, for the life of a project or left in place permanently.

Target applications

Houndlight is designed for the sites traditional CCTV cannot reach, where there is no power to tap and no network to join:

  • Construction and temporary works
  • Farms and agricultural yards
  • Oil and gas, and energy infrastructure
  • Mining, quarries and aggregates
  • Logistics yards and outdoor warehousing
  • Renewable energy sites
  • Remote facilities management and security

Quote

“Houndlight exists because too many sites are still unprotected for two simple reasons: there is no power and there is no network. We removed both from the equation. One unit, one pole, and a site is covered. Scopis AI does the detection, and our team verifies what actually matters, so customers get protection without the cost and complexity of cabling, towers or generators.”
